The above information can be found in most specifications but may use different names. If you cannot find this information, please check the installation manual or call the dealership of the appliance manufacturer to ask.
For some brands that focus on frameless cabinets appliances , their specifications will have clear information about the top and bottom clearances and overlaps.
For example, this is a specification of Miele Oven.
But for some brands, the information about top and bottom clearance and overlaps is not clear and needs to be calculated. In this case, please make sure the specifications you have contain the Engineering drawing so our engineering team can calculate for us.
As we suggest, the distance between the finished top of the appliance and the floor is better to be around 60” to 62”. If the client is tall, we can arrange the distance to around 64”-65”.
Usually the drawers or doors below or above the appliance on the pantry will be lined up with other adjacent base or wall cabinets. Please arrange the placement of the appliance on the pantry first
¶ Example of the specification that doesn't include necessary information
As we can see from the specification, the door thickness is 1 ⅞”. So the door sticks out for ⅞” beyond the cabinet doors.
If the client has already purchased the appliance with doors that are over 1” thickness but insist on having a flush installation, we need to tell them it needs to be done onsite by their contractor by cutting the side panels. We do not provide this service on our side.
