RETAIL CLEANSERS:
Test all retail cleaning agents for compatibility with the panel by applying them to the leftover material (or an inconspicuous area of the cabinet) first, to confirm that the cleaner does not damage the surface.
Exposure of the product to sunlight (UV light) and other heat sources should be avoided.
The protective film on the boards must be removed once their installation has been completed and, at most, 3 months after delivery in order to ensure that no adhesive residue remains on the surface. After removing the protective film, it is advisable not to clean the surface for 24 hours. For cleaning, it is recommended to use a non-abrasive cloth moistened with soap and water, and to dry immediately afterward. In no case should aggressive chemicals such as solvents, alcohol, ammonia, etc. be used.
Keep the products in a ventilated and dry environment, not exposed to direct sunlight.
For cleaning, use only soft cloths and normal household hygiene products. It is recommended not to spray products directly onto the surface, as this can cause halos. In the case of no-rinse cleaning agents, apply the detergent to a soft cloth and wipe the surface. In the case of cleaning agents to be rinsed off, apply the detergent to a damp soft cloth, clean, rinse with water to remove any residue, then wipe the surface with a soft cloth to avoid possible deposits of limescale from water. Avoid using abrasive products and sponges, including melamine sponges (magic sponge), bleach or strongly chlorinated products, strong acids or bases. The use of cleaning products or sponges with an abrasive effect can lead to long-term polishing and loss of the products inherent strength characteristics. Some faced surfaces are supplied and protected with a special film. The film must be removed immediately after installation.
To prevent natural discoloration of the wood over time, store the product in a dark space and limit exposure to light.
Prefinished, veneered, decorative panels have enhanced protection against liquids. While this treatment enhances surface resistance, it cannot endure prolonged water exposure. Despite potential product damage, there are no adverse environmental consequences.
Normal maintenance involves no more than removing dust with a soft, dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth can also be used, but avoid using too much water. If liquids are spilt, it is recommended that they are dried immediately. Tough dirt can be removed using water and a mild cleaning agent or a detergent. Never use a cleaner based on acetone or ethyl butyl acetate, as these substances can leave marks that cannot be removed. Wax and oil-based products can also cause damage.
To clean water-based painted cabinet doors, use a mild solution of warm water and a small amount of dish soap, applying it with a soft cloth and gently wiping the surface; avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive scrubbing, or excessive moisture which can damage the paint.
